Problems synchronizing with time server.

Cause

The [TCP/IP Setting] is incorrect.

Solution In the Setup screen , set up [Default Gateway] and [DNS Server Address] in [Network]-[TCP/IP Setting].

Set the IP address of default gateway and DNS server to be the same as those set up on the computer.

Follow the steps below to enter the IP address in the [TCP/IP Setting] screen for this product and check whether synchronization with time server and transmission of log mail are possible.

Windows XP/2000

 

1Select [Start]-[All Programs]-[Accessories]-[Command Prompt].

Enter "IPCONFIG -ALL" and press [Enter] key.

3Check IP address of [Default Gateway] and [DNS Servers]

 

Windows Me/98

 

1

Select [Start]-[Run].

2Enter "WINIPCFG" in the [Name] field and press [Enter] key.
3Check the IP address of [DNS Servers] and [Default Gateway].

 

Mac OS X

 

1 Select [Apple Menu]-[Location] (or [Network Preferences...])-[Network Preferences...].
2In the [TCP/IP] screen, check the IP address of [Router] and [DNS server (Domain name server)].
