Connection is incorrect. |

Make sure the power supply of this product is turned on (the [POWER] LED is illuminated), and the cable is connected to LAN (the [ACT/LINK] LED at the back is illuminated or flashing.).

Also make sure that the indicator LEDs of the broadband router, hub, and LAN port on the computer side to which this product is connected are illuminated or flashing. |

Operation is restricted by security related software |
| Solution |
Stop running the security related software (firewall software) temporarily, and check whether this product is searched or not.
If this product is searched by temporarily stopping the security related software, it may be possible to use "Magical Finder" during the usage of the firewall software. This can be done by allowing the security related software to set exception to the "Magical Finder".

Install "Magical Finder" to the computer in advance.
1)Insert the CD-ROM included, and a menu will be automatically displayed.
2)Click Install "Magical Finder", and install according to the instructions displayed on screen. |

Select [Start]-[Control Panel]-[Security Center]. |

Click [Windows Firewall] located at the bottom of the screen. |

Click the [Exceptions] tab and press the [Add Program] button. |

Select "Magical Finder" from the list and click the [OK] button. |

Check to see that "Magical Finder" has been added to the list of "Programs and Services" and click the [OK] button. |

It is now possible to search this product without restrictions by firewall function while keeping the firewall function of Windows XP SP2 effective. Select [Start]-[All Programs]-[I-O DATA]-[Magical Finder] to start up Magical Finder. This product will then be searched.
You can use this method when you change settings of this product or open the setup screen. |

Wait until this product is completely booted (until the [STATUS] LED illuminates green*).
* When this product is connected to a network without a DHCP server for the first time, the [STATUS] LED will illuminate red. |
