About Magical Finder

This section explains about "Magical Finder".

1	IP address	Shows the IP address of this product.
2	MAC address	Shows the MAC address of this product.
3	Device Name	Shows the device name of this product.
4	[IP setup] button	Displays the [IP address setup] screen.
5	[Browser] button	Displays the setup screen of this product.
6	Found devices	Shows the number of devices found.
7	Current status	Shows the current status.
8	refresh	Updates the current list of information.
9	Close	Closes "Magical Finder"

IP address setup

By clicking the [IP setup] button in "Magical Finder", The [IP address setup] screen is displayed as shown below.

Basic setting of HDL-GXW

HDL-GXW Name

The name of this product displayed on the network ([My network] or [Network computer], etc.)

*	Be sure to keep a record when you change the HDL-GXW Name.
*	Names starting with a number or hyphen (-) cannot be used.


		Using a plural number of this product, or using this product in combination with other HDL-GXW Series.

		Be sure to change and keep a record of the [HDL-GXW Name], set it so that the same computer name does not exist in the same network.

Workgroup

"Workgroup" must be the same as the "Workgroup Name" of the computer. (Unknown [Workgroup Name] of Windows computer.)
This product can still be accessed even if the workgroup names do not match.

Setting up IP address of HDL-GXW

Setting up the IP address of this product

IP address is assigned automatically

Check this option if DHCP server exists in the network.

Use the following IP address

Check this option to use fixed IP address.

IP address

Enter the IP address to be set up for this product.

*	Check the network segment currently being used (group of IP address) and set up to make sure it does not overlap with the IP address of other network devices or computers.

Subnet mask

Enter the same Subnet mask as the one used by the computer.
Enter the same value as [Subnet mask] in the [IP address of this computer] field in the screen.

Default Gateway

Enter the same Default gateway as that of the computer.
Enter the same value as [Default gateway] in the [IP address of this computer] field in the screen.

If the [IP address of this computer] field is not displayed, input is not necessary.

IP address of this computer

Displays the IP address and other information of the computer used to start up this utility.

Network interface

Displays computer network interface (LAN adapter name, etc.,)

IP address

Displays IP address of computer.

Subnet mask

Displays Subnet mask of computer.

Default Gateway

Displays Default gateway of computer.
The IP address of the router is usually set to this.

If Default gateway has not been set up, it will not be displayed.
