Method 2:Restore all settings of this product to factory default.


Initialize all settings of this product by clicking [System Initialization] in the setup screen, and reformat the built-in hard disk.

The following items will be initialized

All device settings
All data stored on the built-in hard disk.
Caution
O Back up data stored on the hard disk beforehand
(Also back up data stored on external hard disks.)
O

Since connection information of external hard disks with the specific format is deleted when this product is restored to factory default, it will be impossible to access to the hard disks.
In this case, make sure to run initialization after backing up necessary data.

Open the setup screen of this product.

For information on how to open the setup screen, see [How to open setup screen].

Click [Setup] in the setup screen.

Click [System]-[System Initialization ] in [Setup] displayed on the left.

Click [OK] button.

Caution
O If you have checked the [Execute complete deletion of built-in hard disk] box, 0 (Zero) will be written over all data areas once the built-in hard disk is formatted.
Check this box when disposing of or transferring this product to other users. (It takes about 1 minute per 1GB to complete this process.)

Click the [OK] button.

Since all settings are set to the initial values, you will need to set up this product again from the beginning.
