Restore to factory default.


Restore setting to factory default (initial setting) in the following situations.

When forgetting the IP address of this product.

When uncertain of the administrator information (Password, etc.).

How to restore this product to factory default.

There are two methods to restore this product to factory default.

Method 1: Restore only the IP address and Administrator Password to factory default.

For instruction, see [Setting Factory default]

Initialize settings using the [Reset] button located at the back of this product.
Use this method when you forget the IP address set up for this product or the password used when setting up this product.

There are only 2 items to be initialized:

IP address Set [DHCP server Client] to [Enable]
If you have already set up the IP address, you will need to set it up again from the beginning.
Administrator Password Set to [None]
If you have already set up the Administrator Password, you will need to set it up again from the beginning.
Caution
O All other setup information will remain unchanged.
O Data stored on the hard disk will remain (will not be deleted).
 

Method 2:Restore all the settings of this product to factory default

For instructions, see [Restore all the settings of this product to factory default]

Initialize all the settings of this product by clicking [System Initialization] in the setup screen, and reformat the built-in hard disk.

* It takes 3 to 5 minutes. (Time required depends on disk capacity of this product.)

The following items are initialized.

All device settings
All data stored on the built-in hard disk.
Caution
O Back up data stored on the hard disk beforehand.
(Also back up data stored on external hard disks.)
