| You can assign this product ([disk] shared folder) as a network drive.
If this product is assigned as a network drive, it will be easily accessible from [My computer].
How to assign this product as a network drive will differ depending on the OS. Select your OS from the following.

| | | By assigning a folder of this product as a drive, it will be easily accessible from [My computer] or Explorer.

Click [Start] and right-click [My Network Places], then click [Search for Computers].

Enter "hdl-gxw" in [Computer Name] and click the [Search] button.

Double-click "HDL-GX series (Hdl-gxw)" once it is searched.
* The display differs depending on the setting in Windows.

  | 2 copies of this product are found when there should only be 1! |

| In some cases two HDL-GXWs may be found when search is carried out by using a computer name of this product in Windows XP.
In this case, double-click any of the two HDL-GXWs.

This is a result of the firmware specifications used by this product.

Right-click [disk] folder, then click [Map Network Drive].

1.In [Drive], select a letter to assign it to this product. (In the example screen, L is selected.)
2.Check the [Reconnect at logon] box.
3.Click the [Finish] button.
When the assigning of drive has completed, a window of the assigned drive will be displayed.

Open [My computer] and confirm that the assigned drive is recognized.
You can access the network drive in the same way as with an ordinary disk.
