(*)Start backup

  1. Open backup job

    To start backup, first, open backup job.

    To open backup job, there are 2 ways.

  2. Start backup

    Then, click backup job window or in toolbar, or proceed from [backup] - [Operate] in menu.

    To create new backup job, password setting window will be shown.

    Password can be set for backup job.
    When you set a password, password will be required when you try to open that backup job, so password can prevent a third person from access/restore or change settings of that job.

    Or, when using removable media such as MO or DVD-RAM, there is insufficient memory in backup destination, the following message will be shown.

    You can choose to switch to a disc with sufficient memory, or continue.
    Please select.

    * In EasySaver4 Pro, when network drive is set as backup destination, the following window will be shown.
    When information is obtained, backup will start.



  3. Backing up

    During backup, the bar in left bottom corner of the window will show progress of backup.
    Also, the details of backup or if error happens, they will be shown in the center of the window, in the event log.

    If you wish to stop backup, you can click in backup job window, or in toolbar or proceed via [Terminate] - [Operate] in menu bar.

    To pause backup, click in backup job windown, or in tooldbar, or proceed via [Pause/Resume] - [Operate] in menu.
    To resume paused backup, please repeat the same steps.

[*]About separate backup
When using removable media such as MO or DVD-RAM, backup destination memory is insufficient, backup data can be separated and saved in more than one media by executing Separate backup'.

Separate backup can be selected when backup mode is set on 'Full backup'.

When backup begins, and is it possible to perform separate backup, the following message will be shown.

You can choose to switch to a disc with sufficient memory, or continue without changes.

  • Yes
    Switch to another disc with sufficient memory, then start backup.
    This means backup will not be separate.

  • No
    Perform separate backup.
    Start backup on current disc, when memory is full switch to next disc and continue backup.

  • Cancel
    Terminate backup.

*Note*
Please do not use separate backup if using CD-R/DVD-R/+R as backup destination media that cannot be over written.
When using those media, separate backup cannot be completed normally.

When using CD-RW/DVD-RW/+RW/DVD-RAM media that can be over written, those problems will not happen.
